Service Description
Book your alterations fitting with Cynthia! Members receive a credit from their membership towards their alterations costs, in addition to their additional membership benefits. For non-members, this fee covers an up-to 30 minute consultation and initial fitting for any casual items including jeans, pants, blouses, work attire etc. You and Cynthia will spend this time collaborating on the look and fit of your apparel, what you seek to be altered, and any other possible alternatives. This time slot includes UP TO 4 casual/everyday garments - please book multiple appointments if you plan on bringing more garments (Ex: You're looking to have 8 dresses/jumpsuits hemmed, please book a quantity of 2 consecutive appointments). This will ensure ample time to work with you and prevent double-bookings or overlaps in fittings. Service charges vary for each type of garment, and may go up depending on the complexity of the work involved. Your final alterations charges will be determined at time of completion. Please note turnaround times can range depending on the volume of work we have and how busy the season, and the discretion of a rush fee may be applied for any requests needed. Feel free to call before booking if a specific pickup time is needed in a relatively short period of time.
Cancellation Policy
At Cynthia’s Atelier, we pride ourselves in offering each appointment a reservation of dedicated time, skilled craftsmanship, and studio resources exclusively for you. For this reason, all appointments require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. Deposits are applied toward your final balance and are not transferable. Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. Changes made within 48 hours, as well as same-day cancellations, may result in the forfeiture of the deposit at the discretion of Cynthia’s Atelier. Missed appointments and no-shows are subject to charges for the full scheduled service time. Clients are responsible for selecting the correct appointment type (causal, formal, bridal) at the time of booking. Pricing and appointment length are based on the service category selected. If an appointment is booked under an incorrect service type, pricing may be adjusted or the appointment may be amended to accommodate the appropriate service. Alteration services are billed based on time and complexity. Our work is a skilled craft that combines precise measurement, technical construction, artistry, professional judgment, and, at times, trial and refinement. While we strive for excellence at every fitting and often achieve the desired result on the first attempt, some garments may require multiple fittings to achieve an optimal fit. Clients acknowledge that successful results depend on their participation, trust in our expertise, and commitment to the alteration process. Once alteration work has been completed, services are non-refundable. Memberships are issued to individual clients and may not be shared with family members or other parties. Each client’s fittings, measurements, and alteration history are maintained separately to ensure accuracy, quality, and continuity of service. By booking an appointment or enrolling in a membership, you acknowledge and agree to these policies.
