Service Description
Book your initial bridal fitting with Cynthia! This initial booking covers an up-to one hour consultation and initial wedding dress fitting. You and Cynthia will spend this time collaborating on the look of your dress, what you want altered, and possible alternatives. She will use all of her expertise and considerable experience to make sure you feel confident with the plan to achieve a great fit and look spectacular in your dress on the most important day of your life! This fitting and consultation covers up to 1 wedding gown - please book 2 appointments if you plan on bringing more elaborate gowns (Ex: If you plan to wear two dresses on the day of your wedding.) This will ensure ample time to work with you and prevent double-bookings or overlaps in fittings. Please be prepared at your initial fitting with the undergarments and shoes you plan to wear, however Cynthia can also advise on possible undergarments to be worn and shoe styles to go with your dress. She will then pin your dress while you wear it, to give you an idea of what it will look like after the alterations have been completed. There is a $600 minimum alteration fee per wedding dress. Every dress is constructed differently and each client's fit needs vary, the final charge for alterations will be determined at time of completion of the work. Although RUSH bridal fittings may be accommodated depending on availability, bridal alterations should usually be booked at least 16 weeks prior to the wedding date. An additional rush fee may be applied depending on availability if your deadline is less than 16 weeks away, so please be mindful when booking.
Cancellation Policy
At Cynthia’s Atelier, we pride ourselves in offering each appointment a reservation of dedicated time, skilled craftsmanship, and studio resources exclusively for you. For this reason, all appointments require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. Deposits are applied toward your final balance and are not transferable. Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. Changes made within 48 hours, as well as same-day cancellations, may result in the forfeiture of the deposit at the discretion of Cynthia’s Atelier. Missed appointments and no-shows are subject to charges for the full scheduled service time. Clients are responsible for selecting the correct appointment type (causal, formal, bridal) at the time of booking. Pricing and appointment length are based on the service category selected. If an appointment is booked under an incorrect service type, pricing may be adjusted or the appointment may be amended to accommodate the appropriate service. Alteration services are billed based on time and complexity. Our work is a skilled craft that combines precise measurement, technical construction, artistry, professional judgment, and, at times, trial and refinement. While we strive for excellence at every fitting and often achieve the desired result on the first attempt, some garments may require multiple fittings to achieve an optimal fit. Clients acknowledge that successful results depend on their participation, trust in our expertise, and commitment to the alteration process. Once alteration work has been completed, services are non-refundable. Memberships are issued to individual clients and may not be shared with family members or other parties. Each client’s fittings, measurements, and alteration history are maintained separately to ensure accuracy, quality, and continuity of service. By booking an appointment or enrolling in a membership, you acknowledge and agree to these policies.
